- Fuel system service is especially important on today’s direct-injected engines. Direct injection can allow excessive carbon deposits to build up on the back of the intake valves.
- When fuel system services are not performed regularly, carbon buildup can become severe and require a more invasive service, such as walnut blasting.
- Walnut blasting requires removal of the intake manifold and specialized blasting of the back of the intake valves to remove heavy carbon deposits.
- We recommend performing a fuel system service approximately every 20,000 miles on direct-injected engines to help control carbon buildup and maintain proper engine performance.
- Software calibration updates are also included to ensure your vehicle has the latest manufacturer strategies, improvements, and updates.
