I have been using this business for several years now and have never been disappointed. The staff is is the most courteous bunch of guys. Bill, Jennifer and Jason seem to be able to prioritize what is needed and what can wait in order to help save you that costly repair bill. In today's economy, I certainly appreciate the savings and not getting raked over the coals.

I went there when my car had a sudden rattling from under my hood. I came in and they looked at it. I told them I had a long ride back home, they took me in right away. Bill took care of me and sent me on my way. If I could I would rate them higher than 5 stars, and would recommend them again to anyone.

Griffin’s Neighborhood Auto Clinic continues to provide an honest, quality and reliable auto repair service. I recently recommended Griffin’s to a family member who moved to the East-side of Detroit from Southern Indiana. They had a no-start car and it was towed to another local repair shop, near them, after a recommendation form a neighbor. This is where the nightmare started! They attempted to pull a scam on what they thought was an easy target, a young female from out of town who would and take any diagnosis and not question it. Fortunately, she was leery about the diagnosis from this other auto repair place and called me for a recommendation of an honest, quality auto repair shop. I told them that even though I knew that they would have to pay to have the car towed across town to Griffin’s Neighborhood Auto, it would be worth it. This turned out to be an understatement! Bill Griffin and his team quickly made a diagnosis of the problem. The previous repair shop had provided a dishonest “fake” diagnosis, completely misrepresenting the need for unnecessary repairs and had gone as far as altering an electrical connection to necessitate the need for other bogus repairs. If you need high quality, honest automotive service of any type, from preventive maintenance, honest diagnosis or heavy-duty auto repair Griffin’s Neighborhood Auto is whom I recommend. For years I have used Griffin’s to work on my vehicles, recommend their services to my customers and my family. You should too! You won’t be disappointed.

Bill and Jennifer Griffin are awesome people both personally and in business. I went to them with a vehicle issue. I was able to talk to both Bill and Jen about personal issues to make them understand my point of view. They spent all the time and effort at the initial consultation to make me feel comfortable to do the work. They installed a custom radio of my choice (apple car play) in a 2007 trailblazer. Along with a complete power steering job (rack and pinion, outter and inner tie rods, steering alignment, power steering lines high and low pressure, power steering pump and power steering fluid cooler) “side note” belle tire gave me a quote for this work and it was over 500 dollars more than what griffins auto clinic quoted me for. I went to belle tire to fix my steering issues. I was left with a 1200.00 dollar bill and the issue was not fixed. All they said was is here’s a bill for another 1950.00 you need these other items fixed. My question to them was why didnt you bring this to my attention prior to the intitial quote and work you did? Not only did griffins auto clinic fix my initial concerns, But they went above and beyond for only 500.00 more. Meaning the power steering issue, a new instrument cluster, a new 400.00 radio plus the wiring harness to allow my steering wheel to communicate with the radio, plus the three hours I hung around their shop feeling like family. I know have a vehicle I can drive that I feel safe and stylish in driving in. I am also a business owner myself and I know the growing pains of trying to “compete” with big box ticket companies. They went above and beyond for less money. I see a review from someone below this review about being “over charged” for fluid. All I read was their issue was fixed, yet they felt they should pay less. Garbage review, please don’t let the one review alter your opinion for the company. Remember the old saying “for every one bad review their is 100 good reviews”. I took the time to do this because this is how strongly I feel about my experience with griffins neighborhood auto clinic.

Excellent work and customer service. Brought my BMW in and they didn't raise the price because of the car! They went above and beyond to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I will definitely refer and use Griffin Family Auto for all our future needs. Dori and Mike Berean
