My wife dropped the car off for assessment of an electrical issue. They said if it was simple solution they would fix it because they were quite busy pre holiday. They offered to replace an O2 sensor but said that was an issue but not the issue. We declined and they charged almost $300 for the assessment. I’ve never heard of such a thing. I never agreed to a fee just to take a look. I’m not pleased.
I’m sorry you feel that way but you chose to not have us continue and nobody works for free. Not to mention we squeezed you in in between our already extremely busy schedule and ahead of appointments to help you out. It is an hour and a half labor for diagnosis. We had more time than that into your vehicle as it was… Our techs have vast knowledge and go to training constantly and do a thorough job. Should we had done repairs we would of applied that towards repairs. Doesn’t matter where you go there is a checkout fee. Doctor, dentist, home services, etc. why would it be different for us? I hope you get your problems sorted out but our time is valuable too… sorry you don’t seem to feel that it is…. Should you want us to try to find your intermittent problem that only happened twice I would be willing to revisit this. Otherwise I can refer you to other reputable shops ( which will charge you to look at it as well)
